Scrambled eggs with onion and cheddar cheese

Adding a little cheese and herbs to eggs can transform them into a gorgeous meal.


  • Serves 1
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 25 g grated white cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp chives finely chopped


  • Melt the butter in a small frying pan and sauté the onion for 4-5 minutes
  • Add the beaten eggs and milk to the pan and cook until the egg begins to set
  • Remove from the pan and sprinkle with grated cheese and chives
  • Serve with a slice of wholemeal toast
